A Devon town has become one of the first in the country to try and prevent new 5G mobile phone networks being installed.
Totnes Town Council does not have the power to stop new masts going up, but councillors said their moratorium sent the message that they did not want the technology in the town until there was evidence it was safe.
Mayor of Totnes Jacqi Hodgson said it was another form of emissions which was not being monitored.
